Sony has been the most bullish and proactive of the video game platforms concerning the future of 3D gaming. Sony is employing a strategy of offering a “starter set” for the 3D gaming and TV experience for the more accessible price of $499 which it plans on releasing November 13th. With many games on the Playstation 3 being 3D enabled, Sony wants you to buy a 24 inch 3D Sony TV with a copy of Resistance 3D and a set of active 3D glasses for the tidy price of $499. Here’s an article in Variety that gives more details of this program by Sony.
3D – Resistance is Futile
Resistance 3 for the PS3 will include a Sharpshooter attachment that integrates 3D support. The attachment gives gamers a more engaging experience by having a controller that actually looks the roll of a submachine gun. Players with 3D televisions can now enjoy this game in stereoscopic 3D, beginning September 6th.
